What we do

We dig deeper. Much deeper. We uncover where things are broken. We want to understand why they are broken. Only then do we begin to figure out how to start putting things back together. Many charities make decisions based on their own view of what donors want. We make decisions based on what your donors are telling you they want from you.

In-depth ‘health check’ analysis

Our health check gives you insight into the strategic areas of your individual fundraising which are going to cause you problems for the future.

For example, these are things that we have found for some of our clients:

  • 78% of newly acquired donors do not give in their 2nd
  • 3rd year cash givers have a frequency of 1.25 which shows that the frequency of appeals and opportunities is too low. This was also reflected in below benchmark retention for this category.
  • Very small volumes of cume givers over the £250+ level resulting in a lack of major donors.
  • LTV by 1st gift level showed one organisation that their regular giving ask was too low.
  • One client was increasing the volume of newly acquired donors, but it wasn’t resulting in increased income. We were able to help discover why not.

Strategic planning and growth forecasting

  • Our forecasting modelling is unique in the sector. Based on the analytics of the health check, we are able to roll forward the metrics of every lifecycle category to give you an infinite number of scenarios based on your investment and projected performance.
  • Ask for charity references on how this will transform your fundraising.

Monthly giving strategies for acquisition and upgrade

  • We know the 1st gift is a good indication of the future value of a donor.
  • Why not consider building more value into your monthly regular giving programme? Instead of a £4 or £5 per month programme, how about thinking of a £50 or even £100 per month product.

Middle donor strategies – providing a pipeline for major giving

  • We have a lot of experience in developing middle donor programmes.
  • Identifying the right donors; creating the caseload; and making it work operationally to provide income and a pipeline of major donors.
